This was my first time at the culture center in Chicago. Actually I never heard of it before. Visiting the culture center was very interesting because I saw some amazing art works, and I visit unforgettable exhibits There were so many exhibits, and I can not remember all of it, but there were some beautiful exhibits that grabbed my attention.

Spectacular Vernacular by Parsons & Charlesworth, Chicago rooms in the second floor, this exhibit is my favorite. I so some of the best arts that I ever seen. There were three rooms in this exhibits, each one was different and unique in it's own way. this exhibit had a lot of mixed design art. Also, there were a lot of fiction in some of the art works there. some had many object in one art work. It was amazing.

The Michigan Galleries in the first floor. This exhibit has three expositions, Krista Franklin "Quest for The Marvelous," Laura Davis "Jewelry for My Mother and Other Microaggressions" and Tom Denlinger "Ektstatic Edgewater." Most of the art in this exhibit was collages.

Garland gallery,  "35.000 Pillow" project by Diaz Lewis's." This is a great project that support  and response to immigrants and custom enforcement. It was so much fun the pillow project. Shafi and I made a pillow after the class was over.

Public Art Tour Project

For this project, I went to downtown Chicago and I chose the best art works I saw there.
It is known that Chicago is full with fine art. There were a lot of great art works, but these are my favorite. I started to prepare and I opened the art guild, but It did not open with me, so I started to walk around and I took pictures with the art works I found in the street.
Well, I went at night, so it is kind of dark in some picture. I was raining and the streets were empty.
So it did not took me long. This project was very interesting. I discovered amazing places in downtown that I never been to before. Now, I am paying more attention to art around me.It was the first since I came to Chicago that I see all of this amazing art works all around this beautiful city.

Here are the art works that grabbed my attention the most:

Visual Project 3

Artists toolkit

I named the first picture, "lines girl". Well, I did not know what should I call it. I designed this picture with only lines. I used wavy line to do her hair, and other different lines to do her face. I also used some colors, red for the lips, blue for the eyes, and yellow for the hair.

The second picture called "pattern" because I dead the same organization on both sides. I tried to make a little deference between the two sides. I also add some faces in the picture to make it more attractive.
